Set of 24 flatware pieces which includes 12 forks and 12 spoons was made by Charles Christofle in France in the 1890's. The pattern which is one of Christofle's first, is called Baguette and was made from 1877 to 1899. Each piece is hallmarked with the Christofle stamp used from 1862 to 1935.
The classic simple pattern was reintroduced in 1992 as Fidelio and still sold today.
The flatware was originally sold at a Christofle store at "Pavillon de Hanovre, 33 Boulevard des Italiens Orfevrerie Christofle" The building was disassembled and moved in 1932. The leather box with brass hardware includes this stamp inside. The flatware is in great condition, the box shows wear.
