The marble top has inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as sparse typical minor chipping to edges, areas of light discoloration, and abrasions commensurate with age and use as well as some deeper abrasions to the top left. See photos. All drawers are in working condition, including those at the interior gallery. The pulls and escutcheon of the secretaire section of case were later added. There are rubs and fills to the drawer with the later lion head pulls. The case has scattered minor filled restorations which are sparse in number and typical for 19th century furniture, as well as evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin and age. less
