The first is of a Moki (Hopi) tribe members dancing the "Lalakonti", a traditional basket dance celebrating the annual harvest. The Hopi people inhabit northeastern Arizona and are the westernmost Pueblo tribe. The second image is of a Navajo style tribal blanket. These decorative playing cards were sold as souvenirs in national park and hotel gift shops in the 1930's - 1950's. Mounted on gray artists' paper, glazed, and framed in a later complementary wood frame. Perfect wall accent for lodge, cabin, or southwestern decor. Frame dimensions: 11"W x .5"D x 5.25"H; image (both cards, mounted): 9.25"W x 3.25"W. Very good condition with minimal wear from previous enjoyment.
