Description: A whimsical copy of the Toby Philpot jugs that were made in England in the late 18th and early 19th … more A whimsical copy of the Toby Philpot jugs that were made in England in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, this one being a bank. It is made exactly like the originals, Toby seated in his blue jacket and yellow breeches, holding his jug of ale. And just like many of the originals, he has a pox mark on his cheek, a sign of the times in England. This was a limited edition made by a New York firm in the 70's and in excellent condition. A rubber stopper in the base, which shows some wear, is removable so coins can be easily extracted. A colorful addition to any room. less
