a sleek white decorative storage unit on wheels for effortless mobility by joe colombo and produced by bieffeplast in the 1970s in italy. The “boby” container was stamped “joe colombo” in the bottom shelve.

the modular and versatile boby is a compact storage system made of abs. As usual in joe colombo’s creations, the ideas of adaptability and multifunctionality take shape in this series of drawers, bins and wheels, reinforcing its modularity. The use of abs is the result of the designer’s experimentation with plastic materials and techniques. And it is an extension of his worldview, in which he believed that the home of the future would be a fluid space, using different materials and interchangeable systems.
