This is a Great Looking & Fine Quality Original Matching Set of 6 Antique Silverplate Asparagus Tongs in Their Original Leather & Velvet Fitted Interior Presentation Case. Circa Approx 1920s. They are Rendered in a Classic Art Deco Style with Nicely Embossed Decorated Features. The Information on the Interior of the Case Indicates that They were Made by One of England's Premier Sterling Silver & Silver Plate Makers - Mappin & Webb Ltd in London. The Set is in Excellent Cosmetic and Perfectly Usable Condition - They Appear to have Seen Very Little Use Over the Years. They are Lightly Tarnished - Could use a Good Cleaning - Polishing. The Presentation Case in in Good Usable Condition with Some Age and Related Wear - Light Staining Etc.
