Description: This is a larger version of an earlier Etagere which a customer loved but didn't quite fit his needs. He … more This is a larger version of an earlier Etagere which a customer loved but didn't quite fit his needs. He has two walls and plenty of books to fill them, so I produced this version that was taller and able to combine units to cover his full wall space. The idea worked well so while I was making them, I made 4 additional units; widths of 54", 50", 42", and 36".
The primary wood is Cherry with a light gunstock brown stain, ('aged Cherry') with a secondary accent wood of Maple with a beautiful curly grain. This was finished with a hand rubbed lacquer. The customer was impressed enough to give a sizeable tip and a second order.
The top, bottom, and shelf with the maple accent are fixed, the remaining shelves are adjustable. It is 79 1/2" H x 36" W x 10 1/2" D and can be connected with one or more of the other 3 units by small bolts through small holes at the sides. The framework also bolts together allowing disassembly, if necessary, for shipping [Care must be used to avoid scratching.]. less
