O. Gallia and the model number that looks like 5885 are impressed under one of the handles. Christofl's Gallia line was made with a new alloy called Gallia which was less expensive and easier to work with.

This bowl retains it's wonderful tarnished/aged patina which I love so I have not tried to polish it but I think it will clean up, though if you like it shiny. It measures 9 inches in diameter, 11.25 inches to the outside of the handles and 3 inches high.
