A museum-quality heirloom sculpture by famed artist Ronald Van Ruyckevelt, 1989. The statue which is from the majestic American Bald Eagle series of tributes made in honor of the revered bird by the Franklin Mint and represented by various iterations of paintings, collectable plates and numerous series of sculptures that vary from palm sized to nearly life size suck as this one. Materials range from bronze and various precious metals, wood, clay and fine porcelain as is the one offered here. This series has this porcelain version of the iconic predator as the best of all of its offerings and is limited to numbered pieces and made in a limited quantity. Hats off to Van Ruyckevelt for capturing the essence of the American Eagle as it stands with its talons clawing on the craggy rocks of the cliff, wings spread side and tail feathers in full display.
Crafted of rich porcelain. Painted entirely by hand. Marked on the underside with the following: The American Bald Eagle, Number A7/80, By Ronald Van Ruyckevelt, TFM (The Franklin Mint). A separate made in Malaysia sticker is found on the underside. The rest of the mark is imprinted with the exception of the number "A7/80" which is hand written in cursive, in gold ink.
