The diamond is raised on a six prong platinum setting and has a minimal carriage so it can let a lot of light through and exhibit the most reflective qualities of the diamond. The diamond is approximately 4.8 mm in size and is a brilliant round diamond of about 1/3 of a carat. The ring is a classic piece, mid century modern, with minimalist design that wears excellently day and night. The ring has worn hallmarks on the interior of the band, but it has been acid tested to 18 karats of gold. The band has 750 for 18K gold and Birmingham marks. This English solitaire ring is a timeless beauty. The diamond is Sl1 in clarity and a G/H in color a bright and lively stone. See less
