This Painting is one of the new Painting Series "CIRCLES", 2024.
Inspired by my Aerial Views Photos Series „Circle Irrigation“ (USA 2015) and by my Video Series "Roundabouts" (Estonia 2023).
The photos have served just as basic inspirations. During the painting process something different developped by itself.
"In my photographic works I have always been inspired by abstract painters in my search for motifs. Since it was difficult to travel and organize photo flights during the pandemic, I began to paint free abstract pictures myself, including those that relate to my series, such as the photographs of containers and of Bremerhaven. It was a great experience for me and reinforced my deep respect for abstract painters and artists who created wonderful pictures purely from their own imagination."
