Description: Vintage desk or dining table with trestle base of chromed and enameled steel and glass top by Hugh Acton. Heavy, … more Vintage desk or dining table with trestle base of chromed and enameled steel and glass top by Hugh Acton. Heavy, solid bar steel base could easily be used with a larger top if desired. The Hugh Acton Company used this style of base with a variety of tops, including a teak desk top and custom tops for commercial clients like banks. Last photo shows a 1964 company ad featuring the same "I-frame" style base with a solid top. The base is tagged with a "Central Bank and Trust" inventory tag.

The metal discs that support the top are 60 inches wide and 24 inches deep and 27.75 high. The glass top included is 36" X 64" and 3/8' thick. Can ship without the glass if planning to use a new top. less
