A gorgeous early-20th century white ironstone tureen, with fitted lid, from France. The stylish lid features a handle that is made in the form of a budding flower. The brilliant white finish is clean and unblemished, perfect for serving soups, stews, or gumbos. Two scroll-form handles are fashioned onto the sides with acanthus embellishments. The vessel rests on a pedestal base. With its subtle styling, this antique dish is intrinsically beautiful, both on and off the table.
