This mid-century modern porcelain trivet epitomizes Georges Briard’s sophisticated yet whimsical abstractions. A group of townhouses are rendered in a beautifully reflective raised gold. In the early 1960’s, Georges Briard was commissioned by H. Leslie Moody and Frances Moody, owners of 'Hyalyn Porcelain Company', to design modern shapes for a bisque porcelain line produced in white and earthtone colors. This piece is a rare find if you are a 'Briard' fan or trivet collector. Part of the “Midas" collection as the design is in keeping with the design theme of the other pieces in the line.
