Their old-world style with a modern sensibility features hand-carved geometric motifs with incised kaolin pigments, a West African tradition, and are not just decorative but carry cultural significance. The Namji or Dowayo are an animist mountain people renowned for their intricate craftsmanship, particularly in wood carving, which makes their stools highly collectible.
