A perfect matching pair with foreign inscription in the middle of each plate signifying a special order by an important individual for the purposes of export ( probably a royal order for a potentate or the like during the 18th century period). Note the quality is richer than the average rose medallion mandarin or chinese canton with raised polychrome enamels and 24k raised applications. less
