Limited Edition Fulvio Bianconi 'Fazzoletto' Handkerchief Vase by Venini, a masterpiece of Murano glass artistry. Handcrafted by the historic Italian Murano Company, this exquisite vase features a captivating light gray color with white interiors.
As a limited edition color, this shade of light gray exhibits subtle hints of gray-blue, transforming its appearance depending on the lighting conditions. The white interiors further enhance the vase's elegance and charm. Explore our separate listing for the pair of vases from the same collection to create a cohesive and enchanting ensemble.
Each piece is meticulously hand blown in Murano, using the Opalines technique. The vase incorporates a lattimo interior, a technique derived from the 15th-century Murano tradition, resembling the beauty of porcelain. The lattimo effect is achieved by layering the milky glass with thin transparent and colored glasses, resulting in a captivating display of rich colors.
Venini Historic Murano Venice Glass Company was established originally in 1921 by two partners Giacomo Cappellin who was an antique Venetian dealer and lawyer Paolo Venini. The collection began with simple blown glass classic and baroque designs to then evolved to more elaborated pieces thanks to the partnership with designers such as Carlo Scarpa Ettore Sottsass and Gio Ponti, forward-thinkers architects and designers who contributed to elevating the company to a leading role uphold even today, a century from its foundation. The owner himself Paolo Venini designed many different products. Venini History is a story of excellence and innovation but also a ‘family’ story, growing around the famous ‘furnace’ kiln, where craftsmanship blended with dreams to forge timeless and successful designs which are still produced today from the same little island of Murano. less
