On a recent trip to France and the U.K. I was in the coastal region of Cornwall in a quaint town called, Truro. The town was littered with little shops, a grand cathedral and storied antique stores. In one of them I found this pair of small English made bud vases. The vases are made of silver plate over zinc and have patina, which for me, tells a story. The style lends towards Neoclassical or Queen Ann traditional.

Makers mark on the bottom reads, "Mayell. Made in England" Mayell is a company that started in the early 20th century in England.
