The table is strongly attributed to John Henry Belter who was known for his laminated furniture. This Rosewood table has block laminated construction which Belter used on his furniture. The original beveled edge marble top is an unusual soft light salmon color. The Belter table’s apron is carved with 3 dimensional roses which Belter is known for, and also has grapes, leaves, a shell and floral details.
