This chair operates off the same principle as a Japanese seiza bench. Both seats go back at an angle moving the pelvis forward and encouraging an upright spine. In this posture one may sit comfortably for long periods of time. Overall it facilitates a more relaxed state. A gummy free relaxed state. Ergonomics were the foundation of developing the chair. Produced by Westnofa in the late 1970s. Designed by Peter Opsvik.
I had the original stained fabric replaced with faux fur which is stain proofed. Winter is approaching and it is a good toasty option. The foam was replaced as well.
