Early KPM Berlin Model Hawk on Branch Porcelain Figure Antique KPM Porzellan Habicht Bird Figure Scepter Mark Vogelfigur KPM Figur Gift Collector
This outstanding early KPM Berlin porcelain hawk model is a remarkable example of naturalistic craftsmanship. Painted in shades of brown and beige, the hawk is perched on a branch with one talon, while the other firmly grasps its prey. Its alert expression, with the head turned to the side, suggests vigilance, as though it's scanning for competing predators. The name of the bird, "HABICHT" (German for hawk), is impressed under the tail, a characteristic feature of early KPM pieces of this type. The figure also bears the blue, under-glaze scepter mark, dating it to before 1837.
A rare collector's item, this figure makes a striking decorative accent, whether displayed as a standalone piece or as part of a larger collection, particularly in classic or traditional interiors.
