Each mug has three pieces- the metal base and handle, the glass portion with greek key design " printed" in gold, and the unsightly black grommet thing keeping the glass taute. The grommet is important, but if you lose it, you'll probably be ok. Here's the catch: these are "printed" or dipped - depending on the portion - in 22 kt gold. Gold melts. DO NOT put these in the dishwasher or wash in ultra hot, steaming water. I'm starting with 2 sets of six. I had to put these 2 sets- totalling 12 sets- together from roughly 24 sets in order to make *flawless* sets. They are rare, glam, glitzy and gorgeous. Make me proud and show them off! less
