1970s vintage makeup dresser in a French Provincial style with a hideaway mirror at the center. The Makeup vanity is parented in its original finishing. It has a cream / eggshell tone as its main color and a second highlighted bronze. gold color in the trim and detail. 2 drawers flank either side of the center console which is deeper than the drawers and hidden by a fold up panel that starts as a flat surface but lifts like a hinged lid to reveal a square mirror on the inside of the lid and also reveals a console storage are for perfumes and makeup components when used as a make-up vanity.
There is no makers mark to be found.. however, this makeup desk style and in particular those designed with the French Provincial motif were trending hard in the 1970s. Furniture companies having been knocking off the best sellers of their rivals since forever. This desk was one of those hot sellers that most every company that could did their own version of a French Provincial collection. Among the more successful were companies and brands like Drexel, Bonnet by Sears, Henredon and Henry Link. However, tis version is more like Dixie Furniture than any of the others. less
