This bookcase does show signs of wear consistent with age and use. Most wear is on the frame edge work where the hardware meets the frame. There is a worn down divot on many shelves in the same place. One rectangular cut-out for electrical at back of bottom section. See close ups for reference. Otherwise, minor wear marks or light surface scratches may be visible, no major chips or nicks. All wood sides have been sanded and finished with a light lacquer. This is a unique set of barrister cases by Gunn. This bookcase was housed with the same family for decades! The set has been restored, all glass and hardware in original condition. With the finish work, the wood grain is absolutely stunning! Each individual section can be dismantled for easy moving and storage. No major cracks or issues in glass. See makers mark on interior shelf. The base and the topper are separate pieces, as are the individual sections. Mix of solids and veneers. There are two additional matching shelves with this, each with five sections. See availability on the site.
