The contrast between the wrinkled brown finish on the metal the various chromed elements, not to mention the spare, quasi-industrial design, achieve this.

The wrinkled finish is in excellent condition, as you can see. The chrome's in very good condition as well, and a little bit of chrome polish will improve it. Why I didn't do this before I photographed the lamp remains one large mystery. I'll tend to that before I send it. The base is heavy and the lamp is overall very well made (and designed).

The wiring is in perfect condition; the lamp functions nicely. Thanks to the swivel ball behind and under the shade, the shade can be tilted in all directions. Loosen the key on the top of the shaft and raise or lower the light. Use a tubular bulb.

Stands about 11 1/2 inches as shown (can be raised). The shade is about 8 1/2 inches across and the base has a diameter of about 4 1/4 inches. See less
