I'm pleased to offer for sale this fantastic Modern geometric abstract man head - shape art plaster sculpture, It is inspired by the 20th century Cubist movement, they are whimsical yet very substantial in form and execution.
Hello!
I'm Edie Macias, creator of this work of art and owner of " Miami Vintage Decor" I find this part of my life the perfect compliment to my job as a purveyor of fine vintage and antique art and furniture.
My creative process starts with sketches and drawings; then I start creating these complex forms. It is all about the expression and emotions of the human face. To me being self taught with the arts gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
This plaster sculpture presents a striking blend of geometric shapes, merging linearity with curvilinear elements. The vertical design features rectangular forms alongside circular and semi-circular cutouts, evoking a dynamic tension between structure and openness. The surface is intentionally left with rough textures and small indentations, hinting at the artistic process and the material’s raw nature.
The interplay of positive and negative space invites reflection on balance, order, and abstraction, making this piece a thought-provoking exploration of modern minimalist design.
I use artistic plaster and then I start molding manually all the form. Even Though the process is rather timely, I execute all the details manually.
They are the perfect addition to a Mid-century Modern home or to any art collection.
