Original Oil Painting signed by artist Lars Niklasson. Perhaps the painting depicts the village scene from his apartment ~ it is marked "Stadsbid" (Stadsbygd in Norway) on the back with "Göteborg" (Sweden) crossed out ~ perhaps he moved & was confused! It is charming regardless of the village. I particularly love the brush strokes in the sky.
This piece was purchased at the estate sale of world travelers, so seems likely a souvenir from their travels. less
