Chinese framed porcelain fenghuang plaque, a finely drawn and detailed depiction of a pair of fenghuangs, perched on a rocky outcrop with mushrooms and camellias and surrounded by roiling ocean waves and spume below, and a red sun adrift in heavenly clouds above, all in polychrome glazes and slight bas-relief. An inscription in black xingshu script with two red seal marks is glazed to the upper right and two larger seal marks are glazed to the left and right side. Mounted in the original, Chinese, hongmu frame, with original Chinese bronze hanger. The back is firmly attached. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
