Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque, a finely drawn depiction of Kuan Yin, in green and gold, with three seal marks, seated in rajalalitasana on a lotus throne atop a bejeweled platform on cloud feet, with an ornate mandorla and halo, holding a lotus flower, Ru Yi in her right hand and both her hands in abhaya mudra, all done in fine gilt line drawing throughout. One of the Eight Buddhist Treasures, The Canopy, is above Kuan Yin. The signature, Minister Ding Guanpeng, respectfully, painting" is engraved on the lower left with two small seal marks. Three more large seal marks are engraved around the central image. The plaque is mounted in the original, Chinese, hongmu frame, made with fine Chinese joinery, finely carved with stylized dragons on the face of the frame and with original Chinese bronze hanger. The back is intact and removable. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
