A large round vintage ceramic and pewter chinoiserie bowl. This large ceramic bowl is created from crisp white ceramic. It has blue Chinese calligraphy at the center arranged in a concentric pattern from the center outwards. The outside of the dish is wrapped in a silver pewter. This piece may have been used as an ashtray as there are two intentions, one on either side of the pewter. The bottom of the dish is open, (not wrapped in pewter) and the white ceramic shows through. A small circle is stamped in red at the bottom and reads, "A.C.F. Decorated in Hong Kong". This would be a wonderful piece to hold odds and ends on a coffee table. It would also be great to hang and display on a wall.
