This vintage sculpture vessel by John Mascoll is a unique piece of art that will stand out in any collection. Crafted from red maple wood, this sculpture showcases the artist’s talent and creativity. John studied engineering in the US and designed the equipment he uses to create his art. The hollow structure is a simple ovoid, egg shape. A true organic natural shape. The lid is crowned with a simple finial with a hint of East Asian simplicity and elegance. The sculpture has a metal base and is coated with a special UV resistant finish to protect the delicate features of spalted wood. The year of production was 2007 and made in the USA, making this an excellent addition for collectors looking for something unique from that time period. The sculpture is in fantastic shape.
