Hand-carved in Italy circa 1970, this vintage sun-shaped wall decor features a circular central mirror, framed by mirrored insets and a series of radiating gilded and mirrored rays. The design draws inspiration from classical motifs commonly seen in 18th-century French decor. (Sunburst mirrors became especially popular in the 19th century, often serving as bold decorative statement pieces in various interior settings). With its striking radiating lines and rich golden hue, this mirror reflects the timeless appeal of this decorative style. The wall decor is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich gilt painted finish. Whether placed in a living room or hallway, this stunning wall mirror will make a stylish and sophisticated addition to your home. There are a couple cracked mirror insets (see detailed images). The mirror is also little warped due to age.
