Raphael Robic
Raphael Robic is a first class landscape painter. He paints gardens, rivers and floral compositions in which he gives new life to nature in perfect harmony...both luxurious and peaceful. Raphael Robic was born in Nanterre in 1960 with a Breton father and a Corsican mother. He studied at the Paris Fine Arts School and then entered the prestigous School of Decorative Arts after passing the entrance examination. He then attended the ESAM (Higher School of Modern Art) for two years of intensive study. He started his career in advertising and created "First Day" postage stamps for the government and then became "Painter of the Army". From that time on, Robic devoted himself to serious painting. Twelve of his paintings have been acquired by the Cercle des Armees and President Mitterrand has purchased three of his works for his private collection. He has been the subject of many television reports in France.
Raphael Robic
Painterly Abstraction
Raphael Robic was born in Le Midi, France where he studied fine art beginning at an early age. Raphael was always very sure of his calling to the arts, he explained ?when I was seven, a journalist asked me what work I would like to do later. I answered him; I shall be an artist, a painter. Since then, everyday when I am working, I respect my oath.? Throughout his life he has traveled and studied gaining the exposure and experience that makes him the wonderful artist he is today.
Raphael Robic enjoys painting eclectic compositions derived from nature and daily life but interprets each subject in a bold and unique way. Robic's passion for the arts is evident in each luminescent composition he creates.
Robic's otherwise traditional subject matter is brought to life by his brilliant use of color, arrangement of varied blocks of texture, fine but rapid brush work and perfectly balanced compositions. His technique draws viewers into his art. Robic fantastically describes the elements of his subject bringing each radiant composition to life.
Raphael Robic has exhibited internationally and his artwork can be found in both private and public collections. Among his many awards he has earned a gold medal from the Chevaliers des Arts in Arles and First Prize from the Conseil General des Yvelines.
