They are an American … more A charming Swedish Design Gustavian Wood Painted Cutting Board. It’s by Bergen Trayner and dated 1966. They are an American company started by a house wife when her husband was overseas during WWI. She kept herself busy hand painting Swedish designs on household items. After the war the couple started their company in Illinois and later sold it to Trayner Corp who continued to use her designs.
