The pieces are porcelain ceramic with beautiful rose patterns throughout. I love the shape of the plate! It is a sea shell, complete with scallop edge at the top and cute gold painted detail below. There is a "tea cup indentation," so these are really perfect for afternoon tea, dessert or for a luncheon.
