For those of you who love marble, it is quite extrodinary. Incolay was developed in the 1960s, using a marble like substance with differing colored crushed quartz. It was then processed into layers.........thus in colored layers, Incolay. Most Incolay is on the smaller size, but this piece is quite large. It measures, 14" Wide X 7" Deep x 2 1/4" tall. It still has the original velvet lining. Covering the lid are four cameos, which depict Elizabethan era lovers courting. This piece would make a lovely gift for any Incolay lover or collector. It would also make a lovely gift to that certain someone! See less
