Offered is a 1970s burnished ceramic Salt shaker from Tonalá in Jalisco, Mexico and created by Ken Edwards - renowned for his studio, El Palomar. The province is famed for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s.
It has a bird and flower motif on the front and back, typical of the region, as are the colors, made from natural tints native to the area. Hand-painted and burnished glaze. It has a cork stopper at the bottom, and is signed "KE, Mexico"
