Herman Miller dining set. Your dining set appears to be in fair to good condition, featuring a popular design that is highly sought after by interior decorators and collectors alike. Based on the photos, it seems that the chairs are veneered with walnut. The table is more difficult to determine from the images, but I would estimate it to be made of birch wood. The insurance valuation is a suggested value from a retail point of view; it is a big bonus that the dining set is of quite early manufacture hence my relatively high auction estimates. Since all the chairs' pieces are there it is possible to restore them and also take care of the minor veneer damage. How much a restoration would cost is difficult for me to say, for that you need to contact a restorer. It is a fine set that just needs, as you say, some attention and TLC.
