An exceptionally large early 20th century Showa period Cloisonné enamel vase by Yukio Tamura. The elegant pale yellow Musen-jippo background perfectly highlights a glorious purple clematis on the body of the vase with twining vines and delicate leaves. Using beautiful vibrant colors, and all worked with great liberation and masterful skill. The silver rimmed base impressed with the company seal. Yukio Tamura is one of the most important Japanese enamel cloisonne makers. His works remain highly sought after in collector's world. less
