Artist bio:
Francis Xavier Marange
b. France 1948, d. Montreal 2012
Marange learned the art of etching at the Leblanc, Lacourière-Frélaut and Maeght studios in Paris. He has worked with renowned artists such as Friedlander, Lam, Miró, Tàpies, Zao Wou-Ki and many others.
The artist saw his solo works presented in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Vienna, Paris and Majorca and has over fifty group exhibitions to his credit including those presented at the Galerie Liberal Sparrow (2005), Toronto International Art Fair (2005 and 2007) and the 3rd Biennial burning the Île-de-France (2001). less
