Triangular with a lobbed edge the dish is painted with a pomegranate, peach, Buddha's hand, bats, and Shou character, all auspicious symbols for luck and longevity.
Made in unofficial kilns in Jingdezhen fo the Japanese market, this plate has been repaired with the traditional Japanese technique of Kintsugi, adding a further element of beauty. less
