This absolutely beautiful vintage wall clock is a Junghans pendulum and chiming wall clock. High quality produced clock with all brass holders in an excellent wooden case with some wooden decorations in perfect condition. The "R/A" on the pendulum bob means Retard / Advance ("Slower" / "Faster") indicating the direction to turn the rating nut to regulate the speed of the clock.
All original antique clock from the 1910's chimes every 30 minutes. The chime is clear and will let you know each half hour and on full hours what time it is with the number of gongs (please check the video for the sound: https://www.pinterest.de/pin/703617141786915996). It has got a really great mechanism as it allows you to synchronize the clock and its' gongs with just a pull of a small wire on the right side which skips the gong for half an hour forward (really rare mechanism).
This 100 year old clock is in really excellent condition but shows light traces of age like patina on brass, small cracks on the dial (which gives it extra character) and some minor scratches on the wood but nothing that can't be easily fixed. All original front and side glass and to keep it's originality we didn't touch anything. We sell it as we found it. The clock was cleaned, oiled and checked that it works perfectly with weekly windings of the springs with the key that is included. A spectacular vintage clock that could bring extra dimensions to your living room or office.
Junghans clockwork is marked with the logo with capital "J" with "unghans" written around the letter "J" which dates this clock from 1913 to 1918.
