A pair of Chinese porcelain lidded jars decorated in the Famille Rose palette. This pair of Chinese porcelain jars with lids have a bulbous form, and come from 1910-40s. The body of the vases are decorated with two large panels (front and back), depicting framed interior palace scenes with courtiers on one side, and birds perching over a flower bouquet on the other side. Butterflies and floral motifs surround the framed panels, where as Chinese guardian foo lion- dogs are painted near the bottom of the jar. Both jars are hand painted in a traditional Chinese Ming-Qing period theme. The brush strokes are voluminous. The makers mark is located at the bottom.
They have no chips, cracks or restorations. Some paint loss according to their age.
Wood stands come complimentary with the jars.
The dimensions vary a little bit due the the lids being slightly different sizes.
Approximate dimensions are: H 13.25" x 9" in max diameter.
