George Nelson Marshmallow Sofa, metal and upholstery. Original design 1956, this is an early 2000s production from Herman Miller. Upholstery is 50% 2000’s Herman Miller textile (blue) and 50% Alexander Girard vintage textile (red).
George Nelson's Marshmallow Sofa transforms the traditional sofa into a playful three-dimensional object with eighteen colourful cushions attached to a simple steel frame. Due to the unusual form and construction of the Marshmallow Sofa, it is one of the most extraordinary sofas in the history of design. Fully marked. Great vintage condition with minor use and minor paint/metal bend on one leg - please see photos and video. Beautiful authentic design with vintage fabric.
