An impressive Pair of stained glass windows of the highest quality, painted with grisaille and enamels on cathedral glass, circa 19th century. Representing two Renaissance Halberdiers or Swiss Guards in colorful attire with swords along their waistline. Each is set in the middle of a tinted lattice background, framed in amber and red stained glass. The windows were fully restored by one of the best restorations specialist in the united stated around 1980. Each is sandwiched between two tempered glass panels for protection. Great for hanging within an existing space, or re-purposed for use in doors.
