Centennial period, hand made, circa 1900-1920. Found near Baltimore, MD. The underside of an interior drawer associates this desk with being owned in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Unknown date.
Block front, drawers, nicely executed, Solid Mahogany with pine and poplar secondary woods. We feel period 18th century elements were used in the construction of this desk, and elements from the early 20th century were used to finish it off. Nicely carved prospect door, with carved document drawers flanking it on either side. The prospect door/compartment can be removed to reveal 2 secret hidden drawers. See picture.
Size: 42 1/2" wide, 22" deep, 41 3/4" tall.
Condition. Overall good condition, with use and wear marks. Use and wear marks are consistent with age, and use. No Key. Desk is constructed from 18th and 20th century elements. Very heavy, 2 person lift. less
