The shield is a powerful shape that harkens back to the medieval shields seen in heraldry, as well as the iconic Superman emblem of contemporary pop culture. The centerpiece of the 18k gold pendant is a stunning 1.24 carat shield shape step cut diamond with incredible sparkle and a lovely warmth to its hue. It is surrounded by a halo of diamonds set in black rhodium wash on the gold that makes the diamonds pop and emphasizes the shield shape. The form of the pendant is a geometric tablet; it has depth and an open back so that the diamond can be viewed from all sides. The diamond and halo make this feel like a super power necklace that can be worn to help you embody your strength and remind you how powerful you are. This one-of-a-kind piece is part of Kirsten's Corner Signature Collection.
The pendant contains 24 natural diamonds. The largest stone is a shield shape step cut diamond that weighs 1.24 of a carat. It measures 6.32 x 8.71 x 4.09 mm. It is O-P in color and I1 in clarity. The inclusions are colorless feather inclusions that blend into the facets and are not distracting to the eye. The diamond comes with a GIA report # 5221875800. There are 23 1.25 mm diamonds in the halo (.23 of a carat) that are G-H in color and VS2 in clarity. In total, the necklace contains approximately 1.47 carats of diamonds.
The pendant is set on an 18” chain that can be worn at 16” and 17”. The necklace is marked on the chain as 18k. The piece weighs 4.69 grams. less
