Presenting a unique Studio Pottery plate crafted by Rick Schlag. This stunning art piece showcases a three-dimensional Southwestern landscape, complete with mountains, rock formations, trees, and a river, all set against the backdrop of a rising moon. Groupings of small rocks form the handles and border. The layered construction, combined with mottled, matte, unglazed, and raw terra-cotta finishes, creates a modern organic Southwest style and a tactile element to the design. Double signed and dated.
In very nice condition, the plate shows minor dust and stains from display.
