This is an extremely well made teak 2 drawer stand made in Denmark by a company called Hnj Mobler. Hnj was owned by Hans Nikolaj Jensen. The quality of the work is superior. Especially when comparing it to Danish pieces made during the oil embargo in the 1970s which used thin veneers and particle board.
Nils Jonsson was born in Sweden in 1914 and died in 1958. There is a conversation online which suggests Nils Jonssen could not have designed this piece because he was Swedish. They have suggested it was done by Hans Nikolaj Arenkiel Jensen who is the founders grandson.
Despite the controversy this is an excellent example of Danish Modern furniture at its peak. less
