Jiri Kemr - Czechoslovakian artist. (1921-1992) This is believed to be one of the birds he designed for a collab with an architect in Prague from 1976-1978.

9.8.1921 (Nechanice) - 26.12.1992 (Brno), Czech ceramist, pupil of J. Lauda and O. Spaniel, from 1965 (restoration of the original smelter) until 1987 founder and director of the ceramic smelter in Kunstát in Moravia. In this so-called artistic period, he was involved in designs for dining and drinking sets as well as solitaires for small series production. The characteristic rational shape of the objects subordinated to functionality, which was further emphasized by the cultured glaze. In 1987, he moved to Brno, where he worked in his own ceramic workshop. Overall, his work, focused on traditional crafts and handmade shaping, is characterized by a feeling for material and glaze, a balance of aesthetic and functional components.
He used figurative subjects, stylized shapes of animals, riders, women and centaurs. He also created sculptures, reliefs and mosaics for architecture.
